I want to throw an indoor garden party of equal beauty.  I think I did a pretty good job decorating this shower, if I do say so myself.  I am completely open to color suggestions.  What would brighten your mood in the middle of winter?

I was looking through the pictures of my sister Katie’s bridal shower last spring, and I found this one, taken by my friend Rachel Iovino.  I cannot wait for spring to come again!  I think I need to find some little winter pleasures.  I’ll work on that and get back to you.

Whelp, Peter’s off plowing until Sunday during the Great Snowstorm of ‘10.  40″ predicted is the last Peter heard.  Who knows.  According to the Frederick blog, we’re dealing with a TP index of 18.

Israel, mom and I have stocked the house with TP, diapers, food, and movies.  I’ve gotten a few head coverings sewn for my sister-in-law Aneysa, and am about to write out some thank-you cards, birthday cards, and baby shower cards.  Also gotta finish some baby sewing projects (lots of babies being born!!).  I am determined not to waste this snowstorm just being lazy!

I really like this blue with the bright red.  Man, I want to have a garden party so bad. Who wants to come to a garden party??

I love paper.

I have a sister in England, a sister-in-law in Missouri, and lots and lots of generous family and friends, so I need to start making more cards.  I found some really cute stamps at Michael’s yesterday–which was surprizing, considering most of the stuff they carry isn’t my taste.  It’s only maybe 20¢ cheaper to make cards verses buying a pack of them (though that can really add up if you’ve got to make a ton of cards for a holiday or after a shower); and I’m sure many of you are thinking:  “Big deal.  Those are just rubber stamps.  Anyone can do that.”  Well, it’s still fun, even if ready-made stamps don’t allow for tons of originality.  Originality is kind of non-existent, anyway.

Oh wow.

Evidently I haven’t been writing anything here for a while.  I’d like to change that since I now have energy and lots of free time during this little guy’s naps–which brings me to introductions:

Israel Josiah Anselmo was born on Christmas day.  Yes, he’s a month old!  Don’t worry though: you haven’t missed any of the real landmarks yet… except for the actual birth, of course.  Ehem.

Israel’s first name means “Prince of God.”  He is also, of course, named after king Josiah, who brought reform to the people by means of the law of God.  This little boy has some very large, very royal shoes to fill, and we look forward to seeing how God uses him for His kingdom, and how he will (we pray) surpass his parents in righteousness.

Hello!  I’m back for the time being.  Our house is Under Contract, and I’m 31 weeks along!  Being at home has afforded me a lot of extra time to finish things way ahead of schedule.  And so, for the first time in my life, I actually have the majority of my Christmas presents made and bought before Thanksgiving!  I never thought I’d be one of those women!

Here’s a pretty picture of the vanilla extract I made for the ladies in my family (who hopefully don’t read this blog!):

And just for kicks, this is a picture of my ugly little sidekick Clementine:

Now: On to finishing some Christmas cards!

My husband and I are in the process of putting our home on the market–which is very exciting, especially considering the prospect of moving to a cheaper county and hopefully beginning the process of eliminating our debt!  But, with the pregnancy added on to that–including some recent complications (nothing to worry too much about, but taxing, nonetheless)–I’m going to be taking a break from both this blog and my Etsy shop.  I’m hoping to have everything backup and running soon after we’ve either settled into a new home, or have realized that we can’t sell this one and begin unpacking again!  I don’t know how long that will be, but let’s pray it’s not too long, no matter what the outcome is!

Hope to be writing and Etsying again very soon!
